Todays productivity

here are some illustrations i did today, taking inspiration from the illustrators Kelly Smith and Maya Wild. I have turned them into birthday cards for friends so have had quite a productive day,,, 

What the hell is art anyway these days?

I couldn't believe it when i discovered these images of Hannes Broecker's installation at the Dresden gallery, Germany. It basically involves clear plastic boxes filled with a coloured liquid. Throughout the evening spectators were invited to drink the art until the boxes were empty? But can this really be classed as 'a work of art?' I think that what used to be classed as beautiful paintings has now been reduced to literally anything from Tracy Emin's knickers to the Turner prize winning 'clean' squares to drinkable art? What the hell is next?

New Shoes

I just LOVE my new birthday shoes. They are called the ''Alabama's'' from Carvela and match perfectly with my new summer beige/faded denim wardrobe.....
